Need help understanding why a switchboards went dead despite the site experiencing no power surge. The phone display shows Hookless mode. The phone ends up being in no power mode. If you press the reset button next to the console the switchbord ends up working. No alarms found in the definity no errors.

Ok when I ran a disp init it shows that the system was rebooted at the time of switchboard going down so naturally I found the root cause. But now the thing that is making me go hummmmmmmm, is that exactly two weeks prior at the same exact time the system was rebooted. coincidence. I don't think so. this is a :
System: G3csiV6 Software Version: G3V6i.03.2.239.7
with Guestworks. No one is intentionally logging in and running a reset system 4 didn't see anyone logged in at time of issue. The action 4 is being conducted by the system itself. How do I determine a root cause.

We had a similar situation and it took a couple of months to track down the problem to the genarator test that we run to insure that the server room UPS is online. It was discovered that the outlet that the AVAYA UPS was plugged into wasn't on the genarator although it was marked as so. The power would go out until the generator kicked on, about 3 minutes or so, but enough time to cause a level 4 shut down. Corrected the problem with the power test and have not had the problem since. Not sure that this is your scenario, but hope it helps.
