My boss give me a Meridain 1 to work on. The problem is that I do not have any information on the switch such as IP or any passwords, so I can not Telnet it. Is there any way that I could reset the system or even gain access.
Many times, tech will write the password on the underside of the terminal keyboard. Is this system in service or are you preparing it to be placed in service?
The source of the system might be able to help you with the password also.
I assume that you are getting the LOGI and PWD prompts. The default PW is 0000. Other than that, you are going to either have to go to Northern Telecom or research the origin of the machine to try and get the password.
