Hi,

The setup we have is a Cisco ASA 5505 with the split tunnel active which we all access via the Cisco VPN IPSec client.

I have an user, who uses a laptop with XP SP3, who connects successfully to the VPN and can do everything as if he was in the office except for the internet. The other users who use RDC can access the internet fine. I am guessing the VPN setup is fine as it works for some and not others but would appreciate any ideas on what I could check for possible causes.

Thanks & Regards

... forgot to say we have some users who are running with Vista, SP1 I think, and they can access the internet with no probs.

Still no ideas anybody?

Check the status of Stateful Firewall in Cisco "Options". Typically Always On is selected; however, depending on your network (dhcp vs static) you may need it off "no check".

Thanks JTubbs for response. I checked the options within Cisco but could find no mention of a stateful firewall? Where abouts exactly should I be looking please?

Regards

Folks:

I thought this has to do with split tunnel setup. Please look into split tunnel. Are you using CiscoAnyConnect client?

Thanks kcbell for the response. The split tunnel is active and, I believe, is setup correctly as it is working fine for some users.
