Hello everyone , i have an CID issue with IPO 500V2 release 7.0(30)on analog trunk. I`m sure that the telco provide the CID i test it with my testset, but it just dont work on the IPO. I have replace the combo card with same result...no CID. All line are set to Loop Start ICLID
The incomming call are ringing directly to a huntgroup. Since i change the Combo card, could it be the IPO box that is defect?
Thanks

if you have a test telephone hook on to the line, call your cell phone and see if you see the caller id, never believe the local telco company!

More than likely gain settings or similar on the trunks, what does monitor show? :)

I didn`t check on monitor yet, it was my next step.
And yes i`m sure caller ID is on by provider! :)

how did you verify the caller id?

I connect my test set directly to the primary line and i heard the data passing trough. This is how we test the CID here in Montreal with all telco providers :)

can you try to call your cell phone just to be positive

How would that prove incoming caller ID? [ponder]

ah it would show on your cell phone display

amriddle01, when CID is active on telco, the data is passing after the first ring, when it`s not active, when we monitor the line with a test set, there is no data passing thrue between the first and the second ring. this is how we know if caller ID is on or off from provider. :)

This is inbound caller id. Make sure you have run impedence match on each line. If it still doesn't work, try moving your gains to -.5 and see if that makes a difference.

Yes. If that doesn't work you may have to play around with them a little. The bad part is each time you change that setting it is a reboot. But, you should be able to fix the issue with the gains.

Long CLI Line: Default = Off
The CLI signal on some analog lines can become degraded and is not then correctly detected. If you are sure that CLI is being provided but not detected, selecting this option may resolve the problem.

I would also verify that the line is set for ICLID.

A genius doesn't solve problems, he prevents them~~!!~~

budbyrd, i have already try long CLI with same issue..

Thanks Telecomboy, it`s working now i change the gain to -.5 for each line and work fine. :)

I initially had the same problems with my trunk lines. Interestingly no CID was being transmitted because some telco features were enabled/disabled, in our case it was call forwarding and then on another line Telco Voicemail. Make sure that all the telco side *xx feature settings are defaulted... strange things happen when you use those services.
