on Definity s87xx platform have incoming calls routed thru VDN's to hunt group. Stations are "callerID" type. Using TN793B. Do not get Caller ID. The only CID we ever get is a phone # from a cell phone that we used to test with months ago. This cell phone CID # is the only callerID that is ever displayed- even tho not the phone that is calling. It only displays 1-2 times a month out of 100's of calls. No other CID ever displays. Really stumped.

Just a few things I would check, I don't know what you have already done.

Have you tried a different phone in the hunt group to see if it has something to do with the analog phones?

Multiple VDNs implies multiple trunks to me. You don't say what kind of trunks but caller id has to be ordered from the vendor then it has to be configured on the trunk. The variation may be caused by differences in the trunk orders or configuration. Not sure why it would remember the old number from a previous call.

Do the VDNs point to the hunt group or a vector? Vectors have a cinfo field that should be set.

Is caller id set on all of the stations in the hunt group?

not the phone type, tried numerous. all phone extn's are set type "callrID". not sure about the CINFO setting tho. will review it.
thanks
