Hi,

This customer doesn't want calls to return to him after transfering. Regardless if the transfered call is being answer or not.

Destination party does not have V/mail.

We have tried setting to 0 the "No answer recall timer" with no luck. Any suggestions?

Regards,

Daniel

The call has to go somewhere

The recall timer in effect would be that of the trunks

Im not entirely sure what I would suggest but kneecapping comes to mind

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

Set the No Answer Recall Timer in the trunk COS to 125 and hope the caller hangs up before the timer expires. This setting will apply to any extension transferring a trunk call.

Change the COS for the trunk type and the extension for the recall timer. Depending on how the call is routed (between controllers, same controller) change Public Trunk to NO.

the above setting would affect all users, not just the one - just sayin.

Some customers are simply "too important" to be bothered by phones recalling. Sheesh.

A transfered call will eventually always return as for some stupid reason Mitel thinks its important that callers should acutally get answered. The best you can do is max out the unanswered transfer recall timer and hope people get answered or hang up.

Incidently what is the customer since I would like to avoid using a business that would operate this way. I am sure if the user simply said "piss off" and hangs up that would fix the problem to. :)

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

Yup - Kneecapping lookin good

How about this:
If you took all the phones that don't forward anywhere that you don't want to recall back, forward them to a ACD path with no active agents and leave them there until they hang up?

I agree with LoopyLou, don't want to do business there. Must be a government entity.
