I have a Nortel option 61. This is a hotel setup. There are some stations that do not dial a "9" to call out. They can not dial station to station and that is OK. It is like they are connected to a 1fb line. How is this accomplished?

Probably Pre Translation is the XLST against the extension different to the others that dont do it?

Not sure. I will try and get a printout of the ext....

I've seen pre translation used on Hotels at many sites. In the UK, we use "0" as the initial digit and we alter it so that when "0" is pressed, the system dials "90" etc. Also other digits can be single ones for Housekeeping, Reception etc.

I've got an old guide that might help below.

Post a printout of the TNB. The station could also be configured with a "private line" to directly access an incoming/outgoing trunk.

Thank you all for the information. We have determined that they are using XLST for these stations.
Not sure why they elected to do this, no one can call an extension or the hotel operator.... However.. it is what it is..
Thank you all again..
