Can you easily have the IPO 412 version 3.0 with VMPRO, have a button on the console that if pressed goes to a night greeting with prompts? Why is this so difficult to do? Anyone have good luck with this? What or how did you do it?

Thanks again,

Vmail

It depends on how your have your incomming calls setup. You could create a hunt group which has a "night service" button on the console. Set it to go directly to voicemail and setup your auto attendant in there.

I have set this up using a forward button. You basically forward the console calls to a short code that sends it to the Night Attendant at night (or whenever you want) and then unforward them in the morning. It works well, but you don't get a visual indicator of when it is in night service. You will, however, get the confirmation tone letting you know they have been forwarded/unforwarded.

Telecomboy, what if we set the forward unconditional on a button and have her press this? It will stay light correct?

One way I did this was to create a shortcode to set/unset a user variable in VMPro. If set - it's day - if un-set - it's night (complete with voice prompts to inform the 'user' of the state).

To put it on a button - just put the s/c under it.
