Hi

I have an install coming up and the customer wants the main number to go to
a vmail greeting " offices now closed.....if emergency dial 3 for on call "
So the the dial 3 option would just be a mobile number which the customer wants
to change each week.
Just looking for any advice what would be the simplest way to get this setup using
embedded vmail.

Cheers

M

Create a virtual hotdesk user with a CFW ALL button, then let them log on that user when they would like to have it changed. Logoff when you're done.

Thanks for reply.

Its using embedded vmail

They want the calls when the main hunt group is in night service to get a message and the option to break out to
a mobile by dialing a single digit. With the hunt group not having the option for break out , how can i get it to
a seperate mailbox to allow me to do this.

I have set up plenty sites where they just wanted the group to go to an external number , and have done this via the
usual virtual ip extn etc , but have never been asked for the break out option for the night mailbox after being played
the greeting.

cheers

They want the calls when the main hunt group is in night service to get a message and the option to break out to
a mobile by dialing a single digit.

Do you mean they hear a message with the option to breakout or they hear a message then get to leave a message with the option of breakout, if the latter it'll be complicated to say the least :)

They want to hear the greeting which would be say our opening hrs are .. leave a message , if urgent dial x which would
then be the oncall mobile , they will be changing this number each week.
Initialy i thought no problem until remembering you cant break out from the hunt group. Started playing about last thing
today and started going round in circles. If it cant be done will flag up with cust. Just wondered if anyone had been asked to
set up the same way . Cheers

Not going to be viable with Embedded and those requirements really, not without giving them access to the system via Manager in order to change the external number anyway.....but hey it's the free VM what do they expect? :)

I just did something like that, real pita. Used embedded intutiy mode 8.1, with night AA. Then an option to leave a message in a users voicemail. Then used outcalling to notify tech of waiting voicemail.

Send Night to a sequential fallback hunt group, a single virtual user forwarded to a shortcode that is directed to an automated attendant. Option 3 is transfer to the hotdesk extension that Bas1234 talked about above. 0-out is transfer to a shortcode that goes to whatever mailbox you want to use for general messages. Set the fallback in the ICR to this same shortcode.

The non-emergency caller will hear 2 messages: "We're closed, if it's an emergency press 3, otherwise press 0 or stay on the line to leave a general message", a ring, and then "after the tone, leave your name, number, and a message"

Don't listen to all those fools here [wink] and just tell your customer to upgrade to VM Pro if he really needs this feature.

A simple mind delivers great solutions

Hi

Havent got the equipment to test this yet.

Just wondered the part where I would forward the shortcode to the Auto attendant , would it just be

e.g - *75
Feature - Auto Attendant
Telephone no - "AA:"Auto" ( if the attdnt name is Auto )

cheers

The syntax is
*75
Auto Attendant
AA:Auto

No quotes around anything

My personal set up that I repeat on each system:
HG 691, sequential, AA Day
User 601, AADay, forwarded inclusing HG calls to shortcode *601
Shortcode *601, Auto Attendant, AA:menuDay

HG 692, sequential, AA Night
User 602, AANight, forwarded including HG calls to shortcode *602
Shortcode *602, Auto Attendant, AA:menuNight

Cheers for that Tommy , appreciated.. Customer will be pleased

Thank you Tommy . Your technique also does help me in solving dumping VM into the after hour group VM box instead of the normal day's group.
