HI,

My 3300 system had a number 7000 programmed so that the call routing assignment looks like this:
Day Night1 Night2 1st alt 2nd alt
7000 1 9 9 9 1

The night service was working fine before; but now its not working. I have executed the command CP SER DAY to make it to day service ;but now its not switching to night service during out of office hours. Can anyone tell me how to sort this out please? I am using 3300 MXe..

The output of programmed service display command is:

PROGRAMMED SERVICE SCHEDULE IS ON
PROGRAMMED SERVICE SCHEDULE DAY IS ON
PROGRAMMED SERVICE SCHEDULED DAY: DAILY 07:00:00
PROGRAMMED SERVICE SCHEDULE NIGHT1 IS ON
PROGRAMMED SERVICE SCHEDULED NIGHT1: DAILY 18:00:00
PROGRAMMED SERVICE SCHEDULE NIGHT2 IS ON
PROGRAMMED SERVICE SCHEDULED NIGHT2: DAILY 18:15:59

Please help...

Regards,

Forgot to tell-- 9 points to number 6000 which is the out of hours team number. 1st alt also points to this.. whats happening right now is.. even after 6 pm , it will ring on 7000 and after some rings only its going to 6000. That shouldnt be the case. It should go directly to 6000 after 6 pm. Please help.

Are you sure Call Rerouting Always Form number 9 is pointing to 6000?

Have you verified that the night service is not engaged?

Not functioning and not engaged are 2 different things.

Bigsin for example is suggesting that the switch is taking place but the programming in the Always Reroute Form is not programmed.

The first Alternative form is obviously correct but the always form is programmed separately.

Assume nothing - Check everything.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

Try calling 600 directly. What do you get?

NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED!

Always form maps 9 to 6000.. and i tried dialling 6000 directly it reaches out of hours team directly..

Scheduled Night Service in the 3300 is either Programmed OR manual. If you setup the scheduler and anyone uses the Nightservice FAC or changes the Nightservice via command the scheduler is disabled.
Software version 4.1 has a scheduler that doesn't mind about you making changes manually, it stays active even if you make changes outside the scheduler.

so what needs to be done to make night service active again?

after 6 pm also if i check the status of system it says the system is in day service. please help me ..

Also, after programming night service using programmed service command, a reboot is required to make it active?

Resend the programmed service schedule ON again, and make sure that nobody is changing the status manually.

Maintenance logs will show you how and when (and if) the system is being changed from one mode to another, as far as the scheduler goes manually changing the service to Night 1 or Night 2 will disable the it until the system is put back into day mode when it will be re-enabled, but you should use the same method to re-enable it, Could try CP Service night1, followed by CP Service day and see if that kicks it back into life ?

Hi DoubleUT,

I tried resending the programmed service schedule on command. I tried it during night2 time and it changed the status to night2. but in the morning when i tried 7000, it was saying out of service. When i checked the status, the system was still in night2 service during day .. So to make the number active again, i forced the system to go to day by cp ser day command. now i am sure that it wiont go to night service until i give some command.

But why still in night2 service the number was saying out of service. it was not at all following even night2 even if system said its in nihgt2 mode.

I have no idea how to make this automatic switch over happen again...????

Mitel mania,

could you please explain what you need me to test? i couldnt understand that fully..
