HI all,

I have a windows XP PRO, 1.6 GHz, 768 MB RAM. Alls doing well with my computer and no problems.

I recently went to NFL official site and checked out the game stats for the online score update. The moment I get the green screen, my system shuts down.

I have never had problems with any other internet site.

I also have NOD32 and microsoft antispyware for security?

Do I need to do anything here?

I do not want to install the SP2 service pack.

Your 2 cents advice is highly appreciated.

Thanks
Kumar

I had the same problem on my XP Home machine when I would hit various sites, including eBay. I downloaded an updated Java patch and the problem seems to have disappeared. Might not be the case for you but certainly worth a try.

PS: Why don't you want to install SP2?

Thanks, for the reply.....but my java application says that i am running an updated version....Any other tries u would suggest?

Check your event viewer for any events regarding the system at the time you hit the NFL site and post them back here. Additionally, try to uninstall and re-install Java as I've found the recent clients to be rather buggy and angry on my systems.

I still have the same problem....I uninstalled the java and reinstalled it...but I go back to NFL sites only on sundays when the matches r taking place live. I just click game stats and zap.........my computer shuts down and restarts automatically.

Pls help me.
