We are in the process of evaluating iPecs in preparation to add it to our offerings. We have a few questions:
1. Our sip provider requires either +E164 or 10-Digit dialing. We set to 10-Digit. In the US it is common to dial 7-Digit numbers for local calls. Is it possible to create a dialing plan so a 3-digit prefix is added to 7-digit calls so the string sent to the sip carrier is 10-digit regardless?
2. On other LG systems when you add a name and phone number to speed-bin it displays the speed bin name when a call comes in and the caller-id number matches the speed bin. This feature is not working for us on SIP. It shows the regular caller-id instead of the speed-bin name. Is this broken or do we have it setup wrong? We have received such good feedback on this feature we hope it works.
3. We connect Intercom systems with call buttons and Viking Door boxes to Loop Start ports on the phone systems we sell. We connected it to our test system and we can't distinguish the intercom/door call from a regular call. Is it possible to change the ringer for a specific CO line system wide?
4. Is it possible to use Aastra 480i CT SIP phones with iPecs? I understand you need to add a SIP phone license, but we are still unable to configure it to work. Are there directions for using any third party SIP phones with iPecs?
Besides these questions we are very pleased with the system and the power it provides in such a small form factor.
Thanks all!
