We just got 12 new phone lines from Comcast cable. The lines show up but they all state they are 'out of service'. I tried setting them to Loop Start or Ground start and rebooted but they still show as out of service. The lines give dial tone. Anything else i can try?
Thanks.

An external module should be 2 full versions above the main control unit. If you're on 4.2, your modules should show 6.2. You need to upgrade the ATM16 to the current release of your system.

Use on the IP Office 500 control unit requires the unit to be configured with an IP500 Upgrade Standard to Professional license.

Also the Manager u use is to old.

how can i tell if i have the standard or professional license.

I assumed he's seeing it in Manager and SSA that it would mean professional license was installed.
Upgrade first, then see where we are.

Sorry but no licence needed if you upgrade to 5.0.(8)

In the Licences section of Manager, TBH if you are asking these kinds of questions I'm not sure you want to be poking around with the Manager programme anway, far beter to get an Avaya BP involved before something goes wrong :)

Maybe they should get a Microsoft BP involved :)

OK, there is a Standard to Pro license upgrade installed.

Just going by the posts previous, IP500 on 4.1, the ATM is on 4.0 and should be on 6.1

Modules do dumb things when the versions don't match - I've not tried to use an ATM on the wrong version so I don't know if this is the problem, but before troubleshooting can start the firmware needs to match the control unit...this very well could fix it.

where can i get the new firmware for the module?

I'd say pay to have someone do it for you but then again I kinda want to see you wreck it.

In Manager-
File -> Advanced -> Upgrade ....as tanderson said, hopfully it will be set to the right directory and it will find the firmware itself, you need to click upgrade and enter "pasword" when prompted :)

Install the new manager 5.0(8);

Not sure but i think the ATM needs to be upgraded thru the 3.2.999 first!

OK seems you don't need an exorcist just a good old upgrade.
Didn't even think that the version could not match.
use "password" with two s works much better :)

Just read this guys other thread regarding this site. He apparently knows little about IPO and has no money for a BP but is not afraid to give out stars. So he has that going for him.

that's what happens when you type and need to watch the keyboard :)
same thing here but I usually forget to send and then read over it again
