New FANS - Can those be installed on CX(i) I Controller

Guys,

Any Ideas if the new Fans (Quiter FANS) for the CX(i)II Controller can be installed into the OLD (First Version) of the CX(i) ??

From the UPdate to 4.2:

"New Fans for the 3300 CX(i) II Controllers
To support the push of the 3300 CX(i) II Controller into the small business office market, we will be updating the fans in the CX(i) II Controller to be much quieter, allowing the unit to be installed in some office locations. The new fan will be incorporated into the standard CX(i) II Controller, but we will also be making available a Field Replaceable Unit should any existing customers like to have their existing fans changed.
Check your pricelist for the Part Number for the CXi II Fan Assembly.
Note that the CX(i) II controllers have superceded the discontinued CX(i) I controllers."

I very much doubt it TBH

Well pop the top and carefully check the fan size and the voltage coming off the main board pins. DO NOT short these pins out.

If both specs meet the fan you are going to use for replacement you should be alright.
