Yes, it addresses the uprgade fiascos. Also says if you were on r7 essential and have user productivity profiles, when you upgrade them, you get to keep them, and need a Preferred Edition license.

But i think they will give it.
This cannot be possible when you replace a system and do a dongle swap or reuse it that you have a problem because the virtual essential edition license is gone!!!

Amridle the last paragraph does look nasty (uless they issue the licence free) but I suspect there is a simple way to work around this so the system is recognised as an upgrade and not a V8 install.

The 2nd to last paragraph looks ok though
it will remove the problem we have of replacing a Vx switch only to find our repaired unit was only capable of taking Vx-1
