We have two ip office systems that are connected via an IP Line. To be able to transfer Voice Mail messages between the two a VM Networked Messaging License is required, correct?

Also would I need two? One for each system?

Based on my recent experience the answer is yes, you need the networking license on both systems.

Is there any other setup required besides puchasing the licenses and loding them into the system?

If they each have their own voicemail server, then yes you need the license. You can also do voicemail to email for the users and then they can just forward the email to who ever they want to send the message to.

Why would you want two voicemail systems ?
voicemail pro can perfectly run in a SCN

Then you do not have this problem

tlpeter: Yea, I have been looking into SCN. We do have two voice mail systems. Our "Avaya Parter" set it up this way, now I'm not sure why. We no longer do business with now.

Do not confuse the Networking License with the VM Networked Messaging licence. They are 2 very different things.

You need a link between sites, an SCN setup and 1 VM Pro Server.

Your BP should be able to help you set this us sucsesfully.

Our two sites already have a link. Each site has its own VMpro server. We can make calls, transfer, rout between the two.

I don't know if i should convert this to a SCN or just get the VM Networked Messaging licence.

SCN does not support VM Pro on more then one site but if you are OK with the way it works right now and just need to send messages to users on the other system use the e-mail copying feature to then just forward the e-mail with the attachment like bdelmar suggested

Never used NEtowk Messaging. Would have to look into it. Get your BP involved for setting this up, save yourself the hassle.

That would work. But my manager is concerned with storage. We use exchange and with users having VM in their e-mail they will with out a doubt not delete them. And mail box sizes will sky rocket.

There is something that is call a limit
So set a limit for those users

So, if we were to purchase a Voicemail Pro Networked Messaging License for each system and "load them" into the respective manager applications, would there be more that needs to be done. Or is it as simple as that?

There is configuration settings you need to do on each voicemail server once you have the licenses loaded. You basically have to add the users to the VPNM. You have to add the VPNM server (the opposite end vm server) to each voicemail system, then add the users. You will also need to have both voicemal servers on the Domain if they are not already.
