I have a customer with a Callpilot (CP100 3.0), is there any licensing required to network it, or is networking included by default?

Is it setup for DHCP by default?

Thanks,

Dave

The easiest way to connect to the cp to change the ip address, is use a cross-over data cable.

I found that its even easier to just go ahead and connect the Call Pilot and laptop both to the network, set the laptop's IP the same way as if the crossover was used to match the network range as the Call Pilot (I use 192.168.10.11 on the laptop) It will basically eliminate the crossover. From there you can adjust the settings to match what the offices network settings will be. Then set the laptop back to normal (automatic for me)

What do you mean by network. If you mean just put it on you local network there is nothing required. If you mean network it with another system you will need more.

Network meaning hub or switch. The thread was discussing the easiest way to change the CP addresses.

I saw that but I thought maybe that was just the first step you were working on. Also, the changing of the IP address is covered in the quickstart guide that came in the box.
