Call Pilot has a static IP address. Default is 192.168.110.10. To connect to your network you must change the Call Pilot's IP address to something in the range of your network.
I found that its even easier to just go ahead and connect the Call Pilot and laptop both to the network, set the laptop's IP the same way as if the crossover was used to match the network range as the Call Pilot (I use 192.168.10.11 on the laptop) It will basically eliminate the crossover. From there you can adjust the settings to match what the offices network settings will be. Then set the laptop back to normal (automatic for me)
What do you mean by network. If you mean just put it on you local network there is nothing required. If you mean network it with another system you will need more.
I saw that but I thought maybe that was just the first step you were working on. Also, the changing of the IP address is covered in the quickstart guide that came in the box.
