I have a client trying to access some microsoft office files on a network share through her mapped network drive. She can browse the directories no problem but whenever she tries to open a file up it takes FOREVER or it crashes the application depending on the size of the file. If I copy the file to the desktop it opens up alot faster, but some of the files that she access are HUGE and would take forever to copy to the desktop and vise versa. I tried unistalling office 97 and reinstalling but still have the same issue no matter which user logs in.
Anybody know what is going on here, is it the memory (not enough) or is it something else I'm over looking
Please any help would do, I'm almost at the the point of formatting the hard drive and reinstalling windows and all the apps but i'm afraid that this issue will just occur again.
