IS-IT--Management
Hi,
For legal reasons, I need to create a new company in GP, and export EVERYTHING from the current company and import it into the new company. The only changes will be the company name itself, the start date and the fact that it is a new database.
EVERYTHING includes exact duplicates of:
AR, AP, GL, PO, Inventory, any open orders, customers, users, currency exchange tables, (no payroll module), banks, payment terms, sales order processing, item classes, supplier classes, vendor classes.
Things I'm not importing are:
Company name, start/end date, any history.
Really the nuts and bolts of it is that I have to transfer everything excluding company name, start/end date, any history.
If anybody could give me any advice, steps to take, documentation on the internet, or things to watch out for, I would appreciate it!
I do not have a Great Plains customer care contract with Microsoft so I am a bit on my own on this.
Thanks for your time,
John
