Need to rotate Closed AA with button press 2

Dr office has 2 other doctors that are on call and they rotate. They all carry a unique pager that has a different number associated with it.

In the AA for the closed menu, he would like the ability to toggle the AA so the "page doctor" option pages the appropriate person who is on call.

I will have plenty of spare buttons on the receptionist console. Is there a way to set buttons to activate a certain AA?
 
We have a real-estate office who does similar with "agent on duty"
I created a phantom user and sent the AA single digit to that user. Office manager will login as that user, from her phone, and change the fwd destination each time the agent on duty changes.
 
It would be easier to create 2 AAs that are the same except for the transfer destination, then use a HG to direct calls to the relevant AA using a night/Out of service button...voila :)

 
Oooh, I like that, so the ClosedAA-1 is default, the ClosedAA-2 can be night service, and ClosedAA-3 can be out of service. How can I set 3 buttons to activate each one on the side car?
 
No need for 3 just 2, so no button pressed is default AA, Night service button pressed is AA 2 and Out Of Service button pressed is AA 3 :)

 
Ah yes! I'm remembering now from previous installs using night service manual toggle.

Last thing. Can I record the greeting one time, then in file manager, copy it twice and rename it for ClosedAA-2 and ClosedAA-3?
 
Not really, easier to just record it twice, or import it twice :)

 
What if I used the same name for the Menu Options for each AA. Will that trick the system in using the same audio file for all three AA's?

Only if the file was imported, not if you record it locally (didn't actually think of that) :)

 
Okay, A little curveball here... There are actually 4 doctors total on call that rotate each week. Without the ability to add another out of service group stinks. I guess I could make the 3rd doctor out of service AA be a group then put that group out of service (or night service) for the 4th doctor. So technically you'd need to have two buttons active on the reception console.

There are actually a number of ways you can get the result you needs (call routed to OOH DR) not all need separate AA's on the Embedded VM

1 you could cascade the OOS to another group that also has OOS & NS destinations to get the extra options you need.

2 you could have 1 menu that transfers to a dummy user & change the divert settings on that user each week

3 you could get a little more sophisticated with option 2 & have a sequential group with all 4 pagers & simply log on the correct OOH pager each week (disable forwarding for non logged on users)

4 Mobile twinning could be used & then the Dr on call simply needs to turn on twinning when needed & rout the calls to a group of all 4 Dr's.




Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear
 
Thanks for the input. I ended up doing the cascading group thing. It worked perfectly. The only bad thing was that when Dr #4 is on call, Dr #3 button needs to be pressed first then Dr#4 button. They were very happy even with this caveat. Before this system they re-recorded it every single week.

Yes, I've cascaded groups before, it a bit of a fudge, but using that combined with time profiles on ICR you can achieve mind blowing levels of complexity :)
