Recently changed locations and lost the original patch cable to connect Partner ACS R3.0 processor to our PA system. My one attempt at guessing how to manufacture one didn't work. Just looking for specifics on how this patch cable should be wired and what output impedance is used.

I'd appreciate any input.

thanks

It's just a single telephone pair that's needed coming out of the Partner Paging port (pair 4 and 5). How it connects to your amplifier is specific to the amplifier. If you don't have the manual for the amp, you should be able to grab it from the internet.

Excuse my ignorance (I'm just a boss doing the best I can on IT stuff.) but I'm not sure what you mean by 4 & 5. Are you referring to the center pair on a 4 pair jack? This is a standard RJ25 (I think that's the right one) interface. I attempted to make a cable with the center pair wired to the 1/4 inch phone plug on the amp side, but it didn't work. I'll recheck my soldering.

Actually the paging port is 2 pairs. 4&5 and 3&6. 3&6 is used for shorting out Music on the amp if used.
Do what TTT said.

Amp is mono Pryamid 100 Watt, PA-305. It has both SLR & 1/4" phone jacks for 4 mic channels and one aux/cd channel. Previously we used the 1/4" phone jack for the telephone. I just needed to know how to wire the cable.

Manual here:
Paging port on the ACS R3 is an 8-pin jack, and a regular 6-pin telephone cord (which usually has only 4 conductors) will fit rigt in.

Since you're in IT, let's call it an RJ-45, and yes, you want to use the White/Blue pair for the audio.

I'm surprised that you aren't connecting to the RCA Aux-In jack, or having to use a matching transformer .
