You are going to need to give more info. before a good answer can be returned. What version Merlin Legend/Magix do you have? What version of voicemail do you have? How are your lines delivered (POTS lines, PRI, T1)? How many phones do you have that need to ring?

r3 processor r2 merlin messeging 6 lines comming in on pri i beleive i am new t this sorry for the lack of info all calls ring in on ext 10 (operator) wen aa sends calls to operator would like it to auto maticly goto hold so there here music instead of ring

thank you

Just to clarify....Are you looking for incoming calls to be answered with a message like....."Thank you for calling the 'xyz company'. Please hold and the next available agent/person will take your call as quickly as possible".....then place the callers on hold and ring all available extensions [ponder]

I'll need one of the Merlin experts to chime in on this....but I think that in order to do something like that you would need a second Avaya Merlin Messaging (R2.5, 3 or 4) and a DAS PCMCIA card (commcode 108850454).

I'm not entirely sure about the DAS, so go with the offered advice provided by the members here who have worked with the Merlin systems for years. [smile]

This can be done with one Merlin Messaging, as long as you have 2 ports in your Merlin Messaging you can use for announcements.

It also requires utilizing the Group Calling (Auto Log Out) feature.

It is somewhat complicated to setup, and could necessitate the purchase of a larger Port License Card for the Messaging.

I hope this gives you an idea as to what to research.
