Hi

when a user receive call from outside office . they dont see the caller name on there phones.

caller name feature is supported by service provider.

so just to verify if the caller name is coming in line or not , i took the logs through monitor (ISDN Layer 3 receive, send)

but i dont know what information i should see in logs to verify caller name ?

I am using PRI lines

from the office, call your cell phone. Do you see the name? if not then the IP Office will not as well, contact line provider to see if they are sending name and number

if someone call within the office we can see each other names , but if someone call from outside office we will not be able to see name .

spoke with provider people and they said they are sending name and number both.

Do you see "External" on the incoming call? What phone model and what release? Are you NI2 protocol for switch type with the PRI? You can use system status and see if you are receiving name/number. I've had this issue with some providers that "thought" they were sending name, but ended up being a config issue on their end. :)

I am using Avaya 9608 phones , and using DMS100 for switch type.....

so in configuration if i change switch type from DMS100 to NI2 , will it work ?

and where do we specifically see name/number in system status ?
