With no apparent reason (ha ha) one of my users is now not able to access her copy of our database. We are getting "You do not have the necessary permissions to use C:\.... some stuff about an administrator etc.

There are two files in her directory
databasename.mde & WIF.mdw.

We are able to open the WIF file but not the mde file from her computer. However, I am able to open the file on her computer from the network. The security groups set on both files and the directory are the same.

Any insight??????? I have exhausted my knowledge at this point.

Possible NTFS file permissions error. Check with your admin that your user has the ability to read/write/create/delete files in that network folder--they probably don't. Yes, for access to work you need to also be able to CREATE and DELETE files in the network directory.
