IS-IT--Management
Hello there.
First I have to apologize in making this new thread since there's already plenty of info at the forum. Nevertheless, I've tried reading every topic and have failed in setting up my PBX SMDR. There's no one in town that knows the equipment. I'm no IT guy, I have made my research but I know a just little bit. So this is the story.
We have a hotel equipped with a NEAX 2000 IVS with 2 PIMs for the telephone lines. There are 85 rooms with individual lines, plus 20 or so admin lines. We have 3 DTerm Series i Telephones, and 9 outgoing standard telephone lines. Basically that's it. It is used only for transferring calls from front desk, making outgoing calls, once in a while a wakeup call, etc. It was set up about 15 years ago, and we haven't had any problem at all. It had SMDR set up before and worked, but it was messed up and haven't figured out how to make it work again.
It has the following cards: Main processor, 8RSTA, a lot of 4 PN LCD for the internal telephones, 3 4COT cards (but only 9 numbers assigned), an AP00 A cards, and some others. So I want to set up the SMDR to log the calls. I have the software and everything. I made a card reset, and made the configuration that somebody wrote on "NEC Guru 2014 - SMDR with AP00". I have tried logging with terminal, or the logging software with no results (it connects to the PBX, but I think the PBX doesn't send information).
This is all the data I know:
AP00 A - COMM it is set on PORT 0 (bottom one), 9600 baud, 1 stop, No polarity, 8 bits. I know my card works, and cable as well, since I could talk to the PBX using MATWorks 32 when connecting to the MP card (but I don't know how to use the software anyway).
The three DTERM phones are located on PM0- LT0 - LEN 0000, 0001, and 0003, and are called F120, F103 and F108.
The 9 outgoing lines are located on three 4COT cards on PM1- LT13 LT14 LT15 - LEN 0116 to 0127, and are called D000 to D008.
You have to dial 9 in order to get access to an external line.
If it helps - I know how to get into CAT mode and entering commands and all.
That's all I know. I believe what I'm missing is one step that is to assign outgoing SMDR to individual station number, and by trunk route number. I really don't know how to locate the trunk route number or station (I'm not really sure what is a 'trunk' or 'station'). I don't know either how are the external lines assigned when you press 9, or where do the incoming calls go where(I know 2 of the 9 numbers go to station E201 and the 7 others go to E200).
I hope somebody could help me out. Thanks a lot.
