Hello, I just had a quick question.
I am installing NAV '05. After opening setup, it asks me to remove the previous version of Norton first. So using the windows add/remove programs, I got rid of my old version. However, I can't install the new one as the computer is still detecting the old. I've done a search and cleared out any Norton-related files. Does anyone know how to fully remove the program?

If this fails search the registry for Symantec , same for liveupdate , everything which comes up you can delete if you have no other Symantec products installed which you care about; "legacy" entries will come up, are not deletable, ignore them. Expect to have tunnel carpel afterwords. You could download Reg Cool to find, mark and delete the entries en-mass.
Symantec is one of the many software producers which don't know how to install their own software or careless , they use the registry irresponsibly as a garbage can.
