MXe 3300 every phone stuck in DHCP discovery 1

System lost power and came onsite and reboot phone will come up and after an uncertain amount of time they will lose connection to DHCP server. Reset the MXe they will come back
New to the 3300 so is there a way to run a log of errors to determine if it's the controller or the switches /end users
Broadcast storm possibly ?

When you said lose connection to the DHCP, what actually are meaning as in error you are seeing?

Note that phones will retain it's dynamic IP address even in the case of a temporary disconnection to the DHCP server, as long as the Mitel system is reachable.
The only time it will lose connectivity to DHCP is when the lease expires and it trues to get a new IP but could not reach the DHCP server.
In such case you will get a DHCP Discovery message on the set.

I would check the DHCP lease timer and see if this corresponds with the issue, and if it does check if you have the numbers of IP addresses to go around.
I have seen before that some DHCP server renews IP but does not release the pooland in which case there's not enough IP addresses to re-distribute.

Also what device is supplying the DHCP to the phones? Is it the MXe or a local DHCP server?
If it is the MXe, then I would say you check your DHCP settings and check for the above.

In terms of capturing logs, the 69xx phones can do DHCP trace.

Hi this is what we get after reset, phones never lose power.
Isolated Lan1 and only 1 phone to see if I had some sort of broadcast storm

DHCP discovery. We are getting IP addresses from ,3300

Either the DHCP service isn't running on the 3300, its configured with the wrong Option 125 details or there is some LAN issue between the phones and the 3300 (I am assuming the phones are on the same VLAN as the 3300?). What does the DHCP scope configuration look like on the 3300?
 
Are these vlaned off? I might be that another DHCP server is broadcasting on the same vlan. MS server are known to do this and need to be restricted to only the default data vlan
 
In your MXe LAN/WAN Configuration, what is the VLAN ID?
Can you make sure this is not tagged on any VLAN (basically set it to VLAN 1)
What VLAN are the phones located on?

Clear all the IP leases.

Found user took a data network cable and voice cable plugged both into a 8 port switch at their desk causing a broadcast storm
