MWL don't come on

It's a Legend 7.0 that was having all sorts of problems. It was having voicemail problems and processor issues that included the MWL not coming on.
Well, I replaced the processor and the voicemail and restored back to a known good restore point. That fixed everything but the MWL.
I refreshed the MWL, I cleared the MWL, and I pushed the VM reset. No joy.
Outcalling works perfectly, which was one of the original problems. I mention this because I think it uses the same port as MWL.

Any Suggestions?
 
Well - it seems like you have enough duplicae equipment - to set up this complete system in your lab - with their equipment. Just make an extra copy of existing programming. If it works - and it may. You are left with only ONE possible problem - the wiring.

How is 770 setup? Do calls go first to the autoattendant for routing? I don't see an overflow group. You have no lines assigned to 770 as well. All lines covered by voicemail should be assigned to 770 or an to an overflow group - if you are using one.

I thought I sent that over. 771 is set up with lines 801, 802, 803. They overflow to 770. Here it is. Looking at it doesn't show that 801 is in group 771, but it is. Hmmm.

Well - this version looks OH - all lines are in 771 (overflow group). Are there only 2 extensions with voice mail coverage (26 and 767) - that's all I see in cover group 30 as members? Is 767 another calling group or an extension?

But to the issue of this problem, cycochris, did you ever subsitute an 012 in place of the MLM-007?

AND - what does your extension info show for those 2 extensions?

 
I did substitue an 012 for the VM. I could light the extensions using #53.

Why are the two voicemail ports (26 and 767) in cover group 30? They should not be. Only the extensions covered by voicemail should be in cover group 30.

Hmmm. OK, I'll change that monday. Do you think that has an effect on MWL?
 
Try it out on your lab set and see. The voice mail ports should be the only members of 770 (intergrated vm group). If no overflow, all lines covered by vm assigned to 770. If overflow, all lines covered by vm assigned to overflow grp. Cover Group 30 should include only extensions to be covered by voice mail. Then 770 is set to provide coverage for cover group 30. If you put the vm ports in cover group 30 - I am not sure what it will do - but they don't belong there. By the way why the weird extension numbering for the 2 vm ports (26 and 767)?

I don't know about the ext numbers. The original programmer did that.
 
Delete extensions 26 and 767 from Cover Group 30 - and see what happens. They should not be there.

It's fixed.

I built the exact system in my office, defaulted it, then loaded their translation. It worked. I cleaned up the translation. Packed up the whole system and took it over to their office.
With one last ditch effort I tried just the processor. BINGO! So Long and Goodnight!

I'm really at a loss over the whole thing, but's fixed.

So, you are saying their OLD Processor was the bad actor here?

I would love to take a look at it.

-OR-

I would suggest doing a HARD RESET (Pull the Battery/Capicitor Strap and re-loading it.

In my experience, Processors are in only 1 of 3 states.

That is, they either work, fail or have bad software/translations in them.
