You could use a mixer as the single audio source connected to the MICS, then connect whatever else to it. We looked at this once upon a time when we were considering adding sales messages to the music we already pipe in.
I guess I am not being clear. I want to supply more than one Music/message source to different trunks on an MICS. i.e. Trunk 1 has MOH source A, trunk 2 has MOH B, Trunk 3 has MOH source A, etc.
Make sure that the Skutch unit is for a digital system. Looking at the various models on the web site, the only Nortel set compatible is the Unity (analog) set and most say 'without the expense of going to a Key system'
We set up a relatively cheap mixer with multiple inputs, had the music source on one input, then used a free program from the internet such as w*namp or other equivalent, connect the pc with the program to an input on the mixer. it is important tomake sure the mixer has a voice override feature so the music will automatically be muted when the voice messages kick in. This is also versatile as the customer can up load additional messages, keep them on file and insert them into a rotation, i.e. christmas messages, sales messages etc. You need to make sure of the input impedance on the mixer to match the output of the pc.
Just a suggestion that does work and is working today.
