Music On Hold /CFN loop question 1

I can hear music my MTA phone by dialing the ACOD
the problem lies in the MOH does not work ( place call on hold hear nothing ) And I dont know where to go from here

Did you assign the Music (YES) to the trunk route data blocks you want music on?

If you have the features and services book # 2 it covers music and enhanced music. I would step through each step in the book if you have them available. Remember you have your music route and music members than seperate from that are your routes that calls come across with their own members. Enhanced music covers music on hold for internal calls.

Hi Guys,

I have a similar problem, I have music on hold working. When I call out and place them on hold the music plays fine but when callers call in and placed on hold they get dead air.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I deleted the music route and music trunk - re build it
that worked

also if you want to hear the music when an internal call is put on hold you have to say YES to the MUS prompt in LD 15 then put the route number in MUSR prompt. This is found in the FTR gate opener in LD 15

you have route 17 as your music route in LD 15 but the print out of your music route says route 2. Did you rebuild it to rt. 17?

I have another question, in my music route should ICOG be OGT or IAO?
or it doesnt matter?
Maybe that's why my callers are not getting music?

Ok, it is but still not working when incoming calls are placed on hold. I double checked the incoming route and it does have MUS to yes and MRT to 17 which is the music route.
Should be working but just get nothing.

Yes there kind of related, but it's confusing reading the answers and trying to remember who' who. What answer goes with what question. some time it's hard enough trying to figure out what the origanl question is, with someone thoughing another question in the mix.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.
