Music on hold alternative

Hi guys,
We no longer have access to music on hold on our option 11c - had to remove the card to allow for extra lines to be put in.

Is there any alternative to music on hold, such as a beep or any other audible notification? Currently, callers think they are being disconnected when on hold!

There is no alternative that I know of. The system wont provide any type of tone on hold. You don't have a spare port on a universal trunk card?

Unfortunately not. All of the cards are now for digital lines only (NT8D02GA)

Your only other option I know of is doing it through a Miran card, but you probably don't have one of those either.
