music on hld

any idia why the music on hold is so loud on the head seat , despite it is not so load from the source ? is there some thing to do on PABX to decrease the sound level??
 
If there isn't a Volume control on the source, then your out of luck. you might be able to put an inline control to lower it.

Well, you do have tel set control over assorted volumes.
Digital sets have a Program key that activates an internal menu service. One of the menu choices is volume presets of:
earpiece, speaker, ringer, handsfree if capable, and headset if acd set.
Assuming that the incoming MOH source is not set too high to begin with, you have a level of user-control.

MOH is not for internal user, it's for external user's and they don't have any controls.
