My company is moving in with another company (can't afford rent, can't afford a service call). I have a Norstar MICS and NAM using an ISDN-PRI. My questions for the next few months are:
1) How can I have a certain DID (the forwarded calls from our old number) go to a specific greeting telling of the number change, and then back into the existing CCR tree? Do I need to set up a duplicate tree for this with a different message at the home? Do I specify an outbound number to appear as for caller ID or does the teleco?
2) When we combine the companies onto the one system, how do I make their incoming calls go to a different tree with a different operator?
3) Any idea whether their DN's can have different caller ID info on outbound traffic?

How familiar are you with the Norstar?
This can be done, but you must know how your voice mail works.
If the companies are going to be using seperate lines for their business, you will have to create a tree to reflect this or split up one tree, and have it route the caller to the right business.
You will have to record a greeting for this DID line stating the change, and then assign the CCR tree you plan to use.

I'd like to believe that I'm pretty familiar with it, and I've got a FastRad and Voicemail manager to help put in into my more familiar look (though neither helps much with CCR trees).
I think I've got it now. Thank you VERY much.

As far as the outbound ID use the OLI feature of the set. Then you can send out whatever number you want to per set.

Running two businesses from the same Norstar calls for changes to the system that you have not thought of yet. If you want it to work correctly, you cant afford not to call a vendor.
