Multiple call handling

We have a little issue that is when an agent is in a call and they receive a direct call to his station, the second call appearance button starts to flash.
I just want to know if there is any way to avoid that.
I notice that leaving just one call apearence I can obtain the results that I'm looking for but I need these calls apearance in order to allow them to place a second call etcetera. So I was wondering If somebody can give some directions whith this.

If they have 2 call-appr buttons then on the 2nd page of the station form set the field "Restrict Last Appearance" to y. This should still allow them to use the 2nd line for transfering etc.
