I have got Windows XP Professional, with the standard Windows Messenger that comes with it. I recently had a message saying there was a new version of Messenger available, so I clicked to download and install it. It is better, but it appears not to have replaced Windows Messenger, but to be in addition to it.
I've set Windows Messenger not to open on startup etc, but when I open up Outlook Express, for example, it automatically starts itself up (even though I've disabled the 'automatically log in to WM' in Outlook Express).
Any ideas how I can disable Windows Messenger but not MSN Messenger 5 (the one its downloaded)?
Dave.
