Simple question. What is the best way to search the MS knowledge base? I'm still crashing and still getting the same code:

Multiple_IRP_Complete_Requests

Stop 0X00000044 (0X81fb5530, 0X00000D60, 0X00000000, 0X00000000)

I have tried searching this so many ways, it is making me nuts. I know you guys and gals search it all the time, is there a certain syntax that it responds to?

I've also done the Google search bit, but it just pulls up people with the same problem, not anyone with an answer.

P.S. I've got a dollar that says Linney is the first to answer...hehe.

I am having this problem too. Except, I get this error during the DOS portion of XP professional setup. It happens sometime between the beginning of deleting the odl windows installation, and the end of copying the new ones. The parameters are:

0x00000044, 0x811a2008, 0x00000d60, 0x00000000, 0x00000000

Everything in my computer is brand new, except for the 256MB of DDR ram, which is about 3 months old.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

pyroinacage,

What are you trying to do? A clean install of XP or Upgrade an older operating system to XP?

In either case the check lists in these articles may be worth a read.
