I am testing the MWI feature included with Exchange 2010, it looks like a really simple solution, it sends a SIP notify message to the PBX to let the PBX know to turn on the MWI light for the given extention. There have been all kinds of posts on how to get this to work with Cisco Call Mgr, but nothing for the Nortel yet.
Has anyone been able to get this working on a CS1000 v5.5 system? How is this different than the Geomant solution with Exchange 2007? (Haven't worked with Geomant MWI yet.)
In the example below:
- CS1000 is 192.168.184.19
- Extention to light MWI is 8952
- MWI was enabled on the SIP VTRUNK DChannel RCAP in Element Manager.
Here is what Exchange 2010 is sending-
NOTIFY sip:8952@192.168.184.19:5060;user=phone SIP/2.0

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
