What's the best method for moving announcements from a G450 to a VAL board? Thanks In Advance?

ftp, sftp, val manager, ASA can all be used to copy .wav files to and from announcement boards.

A great teacher, does not provide answers, but methods to teach others "How and where to find the answers"

VAl manager is the easiest once it's set up for the system. Otherwise it's

enable filexfer (valbord slot/port or mg/slot)

fill out the form
login
passwrod
re-enter password
secure
board address

using ftp client (WinSCP, Filezilla etc)
connect to the IP of the val board or gateway and move the file to your PC

be sure to add the announcement on the new system and keep the file name the same.

Do the above procedure in reverse to upload the file to the new location.

I've never had much success in getting VAM to work, it never finds my VAL boards. Is there some trick to the config?
