So here is the situation we have many M7324's and we moved one into the conference room to make a conference call with it. Originally this phone we used had all of its programming as ext 222. We have 8 pots lines and 8 800-lines and there were buttons for all on this. Now the phone seems to have reverted to default and taken on ext 225. Is there any way to get this back to 222 and regain the programming?

sounds like you possibly have the wrong line. double check wiring.

well they were plugged into two different jacks in two different rooms. Meaning we took it out of an office, plugged it into the conference room, and then back into the office, and now its programmed as the conference room phone, and has lost all of its line programming.

the 8 pots lines come into the nortel unit then its a nortel system from there.

SOUNDS LIKE SOME ONE TURNED ON SET RELOCATION AFTER YOU MOVED TO THE CONFERENCE ROOM.

We're short information. Was the original 222 still 222 after the move to the conference room? Is set relocation turned on? Did you move the port jumper to activate the jack in the conference room?

If you move the phone to another port with set relocation off that ext will come up as 225.Then when you moved it back your programing will go back to default.Button programing will need to be done

I did it just the other day,When i was done i didnt check the buttons out.. I was back the next day with a trouble report that all her buttons were wrong..OOPS....

Go into programming and make sure Auto Set Relocation is off, go to Maintnance>Port DN Status and find out which port has DN222 on it. Connect the phone to that port, make sure it's 222 then turn on the Auto Set Relocation and move it to where it goes.
