MOH through paging speaker 1

Hi All

Bit of a strange request but here goes.

Customer wants to play MOH through the paging speaker then when a page goes to the speaker the MOH stops and the page is played.

Tried two speakers, one for MOH and one for the page but they a complaining they can’t hear the page for the music.

Bugger!!!
They had a Samsung previously and i was told it worked on that.

Can anyone think of a work around?

I would use a paging amplifier that has that feature directly integrated to it like a Bogen Telephone Paging Amplifier 15-Watt Amplifier w/ ALC...

I have had problems trying to get the customer to but a PC for the call recording software so don’t think they will stretch to the Bogen, worth a try though.

It's the only solution i have found, there is a music port a phone port, and it mutes the music when there is a phone page, plus it around 300$...

There is no workaround with the IPO that i know of on a standard Paging system.

Just adding another voice to the choir, hopefully for confirmation..

I've gotten this working with a Bogen Amp with both paging output & music ports. Only a couple of times.. but it seemed to work perfectly. First time I set it up I was amazed it actually worked -- I have enough problems with paging as it is!

But if the customer doesn't like the price of a good amp (which they need), then bottom line is it is not possible for them. Gotta love it.. especially after you tell them and they get mad because the IPO doesn't cook your breakfast as well ;-)

What are you using for the Paging interface? If a TAM-B or UPAM, it is built in.

IPXTech, i know it doesnt cook breakfast at the moment, but it is on the roadmap
