Hello Everyone,

Just wondering if we can use a Mobile License on Essential Edition or do we need Preferred or up.

mobile worker works on any edition it is not dependent on the voicemail feature of essential or preferred.

That is what I thought, however in EZ Quote it stated I required more than essential edition.

The reason why I am asking is that I have installed the license on Essential Edition and it states it is active, however I cannot set any options under USER/MOBILITY

Under the User, on the user tab, there is a section titled "Profile" with a drop down menu. You have to assign that user a Mobile Worker profile and then you can change the mobility settings.

What release is the ipoffice on?
What release mobility user do you have bought?
If you have only one then double click on the license.
Then select the user you want to have it.
Then try again.

IF you have a R5 system and you have bought a R6 license then it will not work.
You need the right license for the right software version.

honey, i fried the IP Office !!!

Sarcasm, it's only one of the services I offer.

Let's see if I have this right.

I have the following:

IP Office 500 V2 Rel 6 Essential Edition
Mobile Worker License Rel 6
Analog Trunks

I have performed the following:

Double click license
Assign the one user
Went to user changed profile to Mobile Worker
Went to Mobility under that user
Cannot high light Mobility Features

The issue is the analogue trunks, you don't get call progress tones/messages with analog trunks and the call is seen as connected as soon as the trunk is seized. So you would end up wth it not ringing the deskphone only the mobile (as it's seen as connected) or it would be forced to keep ringing on the deskphone despite the fact it's answered by the twinned mobile, neither are acceptable and so not supported :)

When you double click on the license and assigne it then it sets the profile as mobility for you.
When it doesn't then there is something wrong.
