Mivoice Mitel 470 upgrade from 3.2 to 6.0 1

We just received the new firmware 6.0 and the instructions, how to make it.
First we put the new licence file to the data/lic folder.
The system stacked at the step 3 : after restart the system on LCD was "NO APPLICATION IN FILESYSTEM FOUND, ENTER EUL"
after restart this message disappeared and the LED is flashing red/green contionusly.
The boot mode is impossible to activate.
Can anybody help us to solve this problem?

Looks like you need to use Emergency Upload mode to load the new software.

Are you are certified tech? If not you might be best getting one involved.
 
Unfortuatelly, disk corruption...hopefully you have system backup...
Take CF card out and format in PC - Fat32, default allocation table, no Fast format...after finished, put CF card back to CPU and start the system - you should be able to go to Boot mode and do Emergency upload...

But, there is still the same problem, i tried to upgrade the system several times, but the result is like before.

Sorry, been away...have you managed to upgrade? Try to skip the step of creating folder - just run upgrade...you can apply license after upgrade is done...
If doesn't help, try to go first to v5 and then to 6.0...

After the CF formating, we tried to manage the upgrade several times with several methods :
- without creating the folder
- managing upgrade by EUL
- managing upgrade normally

not working :-(

Technicians in Mitel tried upgraing system from 3.2 to 6.0 in laboratory, there was working.
We are in very intresting situations now:
- my customer needs working system 24 hours, there is only maximum 1 hour at the weekend night to manage the upgrade
- there is another big problem, the backup is not working on system, the only thing we can do is import the xls file with extensions
every other settings we has to make mannualy (really hard working 2 times, 2 weekends)
- i sent the backup file to Mitel, no answer yet

... still waiting for solution from Mitel guys
 
Sorry mate to hear that...re manual programming - i know how that looks like...Never had this type of problem (+70 systems...)...hope Mitel will found what is going on...good luck!

Hello guys,

I decided to post this case, because it is a rare one :

- the problem was the CF card
The CF cards in Mitel systems are very sensitive, if it starts to work not properly, it must be immediately replaced with a new one!
In our case formatting the old CF card solved the problem only partially. The FW 3.2 worked on it but the FW 6.0 not! It is really intresting, but true.

I hope this will help other people to make right decision sooner like me. So dont hesitat to change the CF card - it costs only 15€ :)

 
Yes, maybe only 15 euro but ton's of gray hair...well done mate!
 
Did you try upgrading only to the next FW version until you arrived at 6.0?
