Hello,
What we're trying to do:
Create a speed call (either system or personal) which dials an extension, pauses for 3 seconds, and then outputs the remaining digits. During this three seconds, the extension should go off hook, and thus the digits after the pause should be generated as tones.
Why we think this should work:
The Mitel Communications Director Release 6 (which we are using) feature matrix yes "yes" for "Speed Call - Pause" for the phones we're using for the personal speed call. Further, the "Speed Call - Pause" topic in help remarks "If a call enters talk state before the Pause in Speed Call expires, following digits are outpulsed as DTMF tones. All parties in the call hear the DTMF tones", which is exactly what we want it to do.
So on the system speed call, for actual number, and on the phone itself for a personal speed call, we have put 10600P21.
What it does now:
Dials 10600 (which picks up after one ring) and then forgets about everything else.
Environment:
MCDv6, set is a 5320IP, extension (10600) terminates into a Mediatrix connected to a Viking RC-3. I have confirmed everything works great if I do it manually. Speed Call Pause is set to 3 in the system options. We have tried adding additional pauses for giggles, as well as a # at the end of the extension in the dial string (it was suggested in a previous post).
Thoughts?
Josh
