I have a 13MB music file which I am trying to upload to my phone system.
I go under System Administration Tool
Then under system Config and Music on Hold
Select System Audio Files Update.
It will not allow me to upload a file the box at the bottom is non selectable. If I go into Embedded Media Sources it is asking for a .csv file which doesn't really help me either. Any help on this one would be great!

Thanks

Well, to start, 13MB might be too big. There are versions of the 3300 that only allow 8MB or less.

The Upload option is not available until a file is selected. It's unclear in your description whether you are selecting a file to be uploaded.

K well now I have changed the file to 8 bit Mono with a sample rate of 8000 Hz but now it says when I try to upload the file.

Audio file update failed due to unknown audio file format. Reformat use following guide lines in technical documentation.

How do I format my sound file with the correct format
A-law or U-law G.711, 8 khz, 8 Bits, Mono

Changing the format will incur a loss of quality. If you can live with that then you can simply use the Windows program Sound Recorder typically found in the Entertainment Folder under accessories.

There are many other free programs on the net to convert the file as well if you choose to go that route.

Thank you very much that totally worked. It had to be in an A-Law format and now it uploaded thanks for your quick response.

So just so I understand.

Was there an issue with the size or was the size an indication of the wrong format?

It was in the wrong format it needs to be A-law or U-law or G.711, 8 khz, 8 Bits, Mono. Really you need to follow everything down to the letter.

So I made an A-Law file with 8khz, and 8 Bit and in Mono. Now it works.
