So I had the idea of pairing a 9400-800-201-NA SX-2000 light cabinet with an existing 3300. As far as I can tell from literature out there, it sounds like you need a Triple FIM card to do this. The prices for these, if you can find them at all, seem exceptionally high though. Is it possible to use other, more readily available FIM cards like the 9400-300-308-NA to interface these cabinets with the 3300?

Thanks!

2000 per nodes only require standard FIM. The triple is used to connect the SX2000 where the CPU, DSU and PERIPHERAL CONTROLLER are located in the same cabinet. You should be aware thta as of Release 8.x the peripheral nodes are not supported. (You can program them but if you have problems, Mitel will not support the configuration.

I suppose you're entitled to your opinion, I'm just not going to suppose very hard.

Actually support for the 2000 per nodes was discontinued above MCD rel 6.0

Thanks! If you don't mind one more question, can any of the SX-2000 loop start trunk cards support caller ID? None of the documentation I can find references much more than the fact that the cards exist.

I have no memory of this but I would bet that the cards would be labelled as CLASS if they supported Caller ID

For Caller ID you would need a MC320EA ONS CLASS Line Card (16 circuits) or MC320FA ONS CLASS Line Card with Positive Disconnect (16 circuit).

Wouldn't that be for stations though, and not for trunks? I know the early ASUs won't support CLASS trunks, but that's the only exception I can find.
