Mitel 3300: Importing User and Services Configuration CSV file to bulk add extentions

Good morning.

What I'm trying to do:

add 40+ extensions to a Mitel 3300 MXe II switch without having to add each extension one at a time.

What I've done already:

I exported the current User and Services Configuration to a CSV file to edit with Excel. I've also determined which extension numbers will be used.

What I need assistance with:

From searching Tek Tips I've learned that you have to delete "some" fields from the CSV file before importing it to the system. Which fields? Should I delete all the existing extension information from the CSV file and only include the new extensions before importing, or will that delete the existing extensions?

Ticket is a few weeks old now, so you may have bitten the bullet and done this manually, however you would want to remove any of the GUIDs against the users.

I put together a small tool exactly for this purpose:

Just import your Users and Services form and it will strip out the GUIDs and give you an output file you can import straight into the controller.

Thank you for the suggestion Jemson. I eventually discovered that Mitel includes a tool in the 3300 to create CSV files just for this purpose. When you click to upload a CSV file it gives you an option to download a tool to create the CSV file for you. So I downloaded that tool and was able to bulk upload the 40 extensions.

Now if only I knew how to mark a thread as closed...
