Mitel creates trunk reports where you can see the historical "blocking" (i.e. how many calls failed because all trunks were busy)

can some one help me to find out a command to get this report

you need to program the reports to run in the TRAFFIC OPTIONS Assignment form. I usually report on TRUNK GROUPS. You can select a number of different parameters inclding how often you want them to run.

Once you set up your traffic options the actual maintenance cmd is for example
“type *.traffic.2010apr061300”. The switch only holds 10 hours of traffic files (first in first out) you can see which traffic files are available with maintenance cmd “traffic files”

Hi,
can you please guide me from where I can find this option to run report.
I am new to Mitel

Thanks

Once you have programmed the option, the reports automatically run and are stored on the hard drive until they are over-written by the next traffic file. from the maintenance command line enter TRAF FIL . This will show you which files are available. If you have a printer attached enter TRAF PRI . This will dump the files to the printer defined in the APPLICATION LOGICAL PORT form.

I like to define LPR3 as the target and save the resulting printout to a capture file in Procomm.

Traffic report can be programmed to LPR1 that is IP socket 1754.
Setup a hyperterminal session with the IPA of the 3300 and that port and you will get it when the time comes.
You still have to set it up, enable it first and make it print on LPR1, it even works on systems without a physical printer port.

ACD monitoring software prairieFyre has on option to capture data and report on it.

Sorry Guys I was Away.
Still I am confused how to configure Mitel to generate a command.

I tried TRAFFIC PRINT, however its not working.
please help me

Thanks

First, be sure you are l ogged into the MAINTENANCE screen.
The commands for TRAFFIC can be found in the HELP files.

TRAFFIC FILES will return a list of the currently buffered reports (max 10).

TRAFFIC PRINT (FILE NAME) will send the specified report to the printer port difined in the APPLICATION LOGICAL PORT form.

TRAFFIC OPTIONS form in CDE allows you to program the types of devices you want to report as well as the time parameters for data gathering and reporting.

Again, all of this is very well documented in the HELP files under TRAFFIC
