mitel 3300 ICP long delay on outgoing call

good day everyone,we just installed a new mitel 3300 icp with 5340 and 5320 ip phones. we have a T1 (24 channel) and its all idle when i put state 7 1 2 1 on command promp, but when I tried to call out it took more than a minute for the call to be establish. i have to dial nine for outgoing call, i can hear dial tone when i press 9. its long delay for all calls (local and long distance) any insights is appreciated

The dial tone after dialing 9 is optional an really has nothing to do with call progress.

Is your T1 set to immediate start or wink start, whichever it is try the other.

Also try direct selecting the trunk using the individual trunk access code to eliminate ARS programming.

When using direct trunk select fial the FAC then a 4 digit trunk number (pad with leading zeros if required), then dial the number.

The mitel 3300 was sent to us to have it installed on the customer and I spoke to their tech support as I have issues on calling out, and the t1 is on wink start, I'll try to play around on the other setting tomorrow together with the trunk access code. The T1 is fed thru campus rs modem onto GTD 5 switch. The tech support guy thinks it might be a mismatch/timing issue on the T1, as he walked me thru to check the ARS and he said it was programmed ok. So he ran out of option on what else to check. But I'll try on what you suggested, and thank you for your response.
 
Check your limited wait for dialtone timer in circuit descriptor, the trunk will wait that long for dialtone before outpulsing regardless of whetehr or not it receives it, also your interdigit timer can play into this depending on how ARS is written, kwbMitel's suggestion will show you how long the PBX your behind is adding to the outdial, your on their ARS with direct access, dial a # and see if that speeds it up, then it is the daisy-chained ARS and unknown/interdigit timers adding up to create the delay.
