Hi All,

I have very little knowledge regarding Mitel VoIP solutions however one of the sites I now support has a full Mitel system.

Basically when an external call comes in the caller is presented with 3 options:
1) Press 1 for absence.
2) Press 2 for finance.
3) Stay on the line for all other enquiries.

When the caller presses 1 the call is automatically transferred to the HR girl. The problem being she has moved office so the call would need forwarding to her new extension.

I'm not sure if it will make a difference but previously she had a 5304 mitel handset but has been moved to the main office so now has a 5550 console.

I have had a look through the controller and can't seem to work it out. As I said before I have very little knowledge of Mitel and this site has just been dumped on me so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Chris

Log in to the ip address of the 3300 controller then - system admin/ voicemail/ multilevel autoattendant and see what mailbox is assoiated with the pressed(number 1)button from the menu options on the right hand side of the page

Go back a step out of the multi level and go to voice mailbox configuration and search/find the mailbox number you just found and change the transfer point to the console number.

Thats it

Hi Braindead,

First of all thanks for the reply. I have changed option 1 from extn 1016 to 1001. Now if I call the site from my mobile I still get transferred to the old absence office (1016). However if I call the auto attendant on it's VM extension (8000)and select 1 I get transferred to the new office (1001).

Can you think of any reason this may be? When looking at the VM Mailboxes option 1 had the extension 1016 set however option 2 has 8010 set which then rings the extension 1009 for finance.

Any other help you could offer would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Chris

If you download and look at the attached doc

you'll see that option 1 for the reservations on the second line is using mailbox 5 option 2 is using mailbox 6 etc.

Then on the second page you'll see mailbox 5 is a transfer only to extn *124 which trnasfers the call to extn *124 when 1 pressed.

Hi Braindead,

I'm not quite sure what's happening as I have it set up the same way as your screens i think. Like I said before if i ring the Auto attendant extn internally the transfer works correctly but from an outside line I still get transferred to the old extn.

I have option 1 as VM Box number 8001

8001 is transfer only to exnt:1001.

I have attached screens...

Cheers,

Chris

What is the number 8000 on you system. is it a dummy number or hunt group call forwarded always to the voicemail group? Is the external number definitly hitting 8000 on the system?

Hi,

The 8000 number appears to be a circular voice hunt group. I'm getting the feeling the external doesn't hit 8000, as 8995 is displayed on the phone in the HR office when option 1 is selected from an external call.

8995 is a RAD terminal hunt group, I'm guessing this is why I get 2 different results when phoning internally and externally.

Cheers,
Chris
